Curriculum Vitae
Summary
I am a Bioinformatician and Data Scientist (PhD Biology, MSc Bioinformatics) who specializes in transitioning complex biological questions into scalable computational solutions. I thrive on hands-on coding, engineering automated pipelines, and solving high-dimensional data architecture problems.
Currently, I serve as a Science Officer and Panel Coordinator at the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI). In this role, I have directed the end-to-end evaluation life cycle for 8 high-stakes Life Sciences funding panels. This involves managing portfolios valued at over €19M, ensuring strict data integrity and regulatory compliance, and synthesizing complex quantitative data across 1,000+ proposals into actionable reports.
Alongside my extensive experience in science coordination and project management (PRINCE2), my primary technical focus—driven by my recent MSc in Bioinformatics, is deep computational execution. I actively build maintainable, reproducible pipelines to process and model high-dimensional biological datasets, allowing me to bridge the gap between scientific strategy and rigorous technical delivery.
